Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has announced the dates for the PET exam to be held in 2021. The Preliminary Qualifying Test (PET) will be held on 20 August 2021 in two shifts. UPSSSC PET score will be valid for 1 year.
The eligibility test is being held for the first time in Uttar Pradesh. For this, applications were taken till June 21. More than 23 lakh candidates had registered for this exam. However, out of these, only 14.83 lakh finally submitted their application.
PET candidates have to clear one prelims and one mains exam. On passing both examinations, the candidates will be eligible for recruitment. UPSSSC PET 2021 will be an offline objective exam. Students will be asked questions from the 10th standard. The exam time will be 2 hours. There will also be a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the exam.
PET mandatory for recruitment to Group ‘C’ posts
According to the notification of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission, it is mandatory to pass PET for recruitment to Group ‘C’ posts. For selection to any post, category-wise shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of their PET score.
