Educational Qualifications

According to the notification issued by the Uttar Pradesh Postal Circle, to apply for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), candidates must have passed 10th from a recognized institute / board.

Age Limit

To apply for the posts of GDS in the Department of Posts, the minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years. However, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation as per rules.

For applying to the posts of GDS in the postal circle, male candidates of general and OBC category will have to pay Rs 100. Whereas, SC / ST category candidates will not have to pay any application fee i.e. application is free.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in the Department of Posts from the merit list prepared on the basis of 10th marks. Candidates will not have to give any written test or interview for the job on the posts of GDS.

Candidates selected on the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) under the Uttar Pradesh Postal Circle will get a salary of Rs 10,000 per month.
