Application Date

The online application process will continue till July 31, 2024, while the last date for submission of application fee (Rs. 100) is August 1, 2024. Apart from this, the window for making corrections in the application form will be from August 16 to August 17, 2024.

According to the notification released by SSC, a total of 8,326 vacancies will be filled on MTS and Havildar posts. Of these, 4887 vacancies are for Multi-Tasking Staff, while 3439 vacancies are for Havildar posts in CBIC and CBN.

Education Qualification

Candidates must have passed Class 10 or Matriculation examination or its equivalent from a recognized board on or before the cut-off date.

Exam Date

The official date of SSC MTS Tier 1 exam will be announced soon. It is expected that this examination can be conducted in October or November 2024.

Age Limit

For MTS and Havildar in CBN (Revenue Department) the age of the candidates should be between 18 to 25 years. The age limit for some posts of Havildar and MTS in CIBC (Revenue Department) is 18-27 years. In both the cases, relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable to reserved category candidates.

Selection Process

Selection of eligible applicants will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST). PET and PST are only for the post of Havildar. Besides, the computer-based examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages – Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

There will be two sessions in CBE and participation in both the sessions will be mandatory. Candidates will be disqualified if they do not attend any session. Cut off candidates in CBE will be shortlisted for physical test round based on their performance in session 2 of the examination. However, marks of Session 2 will be evaluated only if qualified in Session 1.
